Hullaby was a highly-sought after prospect, the No. 306 player overall and the No. 38 player in the state, with 28 offers including the Auburn Tigers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the USC Trojans. The younger brother of running back Jaden Hullaby, many assumed he would don Burnt Orange like his brother with Texas holding 100 percent of the Crystal Ball predictions for his recruitment.
Hullaby was a high priority for Blake Gideon and the new defensive staff, but they were unable to close on the talent from Mansfield.
Texas now turns its sights to a few other in-state prospects.
