The Texas Longhorns are still in the hunt for one of the most-talented defenders in the state after five-star cornerback Denver Harris released his top schools Sunday.

With Quinn Ewers off the board, Harris is easily one the most-coveted talents in the state of Texas. The No. 6 player overall and the No. 3 cornerback in country, Harris held 38 offers when he released his final grouping. Left out of that final group were teams like the Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes and Oklahoma Sooners.
Measuring at 6’1, 180 pounds, Harris has an elite frame and top-end speed that could develop into an NFL defender with ease. Harris is considered a slight lean to Texas, with the Longhorns holding the only Crystal Ball prediction according to 247Sports, but expect this to be a battle to the finish line for the services of the talented corner.
The 2022 recruiting class has been picking up steam as of late, with four of the six members of the class making their pledges in the month of February.
If Texas manages to land his services, he could very likely be the crown jewel of a recruiting class that already sits in the top 5 nationally.
