Big 12 announces rescheduled Texas basketball games

The Longhorns will make up three games impacted by weather or COVID.

On Tuesday, the Big 12 announced schedule adjustments for the week of March 1-7 for games impacted by COVID-19 issues or the recent inclement weather in Texas, including three games for the Texas Longhorns.

After playing Kansas and Texas Tech this week, Texas will travel to Ames to play against Iowa State on Tuesday, March 2 on ESPN+. Two days later, the Longhorns play the Sooners in Norman on ESPN or ESPN2. To close the regular season, Texas heads up I-35 to Fort Worth for a game against TCU on Sunday, March 7 on ESPN+.

Because so many games were postponed, Texas will not make up the road trip to Waco to play against Baylor, which was originally scheduled for December.

The Longhorns were also a bit unfortunate with the postponements, as all of them were road games — Texas closes the home schedule against Kansas on Tuesday evening and then plays the final four regular season games away from the Erwin Center.
