Former Texas Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger, now on his way to the NFL, was awarded the 2020 Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award for his efforts in helping raise more than $200,000 in COVID-19 relief money earlier this year. The award is provided every year to an FBS level athlete who goes above and beyond as community members.

- Texas football has also hired Cordae Hankton, a former defensive analyst for the Michigan State Trojans, in the same capacity as his previous gig up north, per 247Sports. Hankton is also a former Louisiana high school coach. Texas hopes it’ll give them a bump in recruiting the Cajun State.
