Five-star Humble Summer Creek offensive tackle Kelvin Banks announced on Wednesday that he has narrowed his group of schools down to eight.
Banks previously had his top list of schools at fourteen, so now the state’s top tackle has taken things a step further with his new grouping.

The Longhorns have been recruiting Banks for almost two years now and he is one of the top priorities for the Longhorn staff, as they continue to try to build momentum on the recruiting trail.
Since decommitting from Oklahoma State last summer, the main competition for the Longhorns have been programs like LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. If Steve Sarkisian and company want to land one of the cornerstones for their first recruiting class then they will have to beat out several top regional programs to do so.
A consensus five-star prospect, Banks is ranked as the No. 31 player nationally and the No. 2 offensive tackle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
