Texas Longhorns alum and defensive tackle Malcom Brown, a former first round pick, has been traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars by the New Orleans Saints, NFL Network reports.
New Orleans could have released Malcom Brown when any time of the last few weeks. But they held on and held on, eventually trading him to Jax. https://t.co/vahFvPWJKZ

From 247Sports’ report: “Brown has been on the trade block for weeks now with the Saints looking to move him for salary cap reasons. Earlier in March, Rapoport reported that trading Brown would save the Saints around $5 million in cap space. Brown is entering the final season on a three-year, $15 million deal. His acquisition will essentially play out as a one-year rental with a chance to retain him for the Jaguars.”
