The Austin American-Statesman reports that the Texas NAACP and the state’s Legislative Black Caucus are set to meet with Texas Longhorns President Jay Hartzell later today. “We’re opposed to it,” NAACP President Gary Bledsoe told the Statesman. “People don’t understand these students on campus don’t stand alone.”
