The denouncements of the Texas Longhorns’ school song “The Eyes of Texas” continue to come from folks like Black state lawmakers, the Texas NAACP, and some of the student body, the Austin American-Statesman reports.
“What side of history do you want to be on?” Zion James, a sophomore at Texas and a member of the university’s Black Student Alliance, asked at a conference on Monday, per the Statesman.
