The Texas Longhorns are still in the race for one of the most-talented players in the state, as five-star wide receiver Evan Stewart released his top 8 on Saturday.

Texas has seemingly been in the mix for Stewart since the beginning and even counted him among the 2022 class for a brief period of time. Stewart made his pledge to Texas in February while the class was building momentum, but announced his decommitment a month later as it became more likely that the NCAA prohibition on visits would come to a close over the summer.
Stewart is scheduled for an official visit to Texas the weekend of June 11. He is also scheduled to visit the Florida Gators the week before and the Texas A&M Aggies two weeks later.
The 6-foot, 175-pound receiver from Liberty (Frisco) High School is one of the fastest and most-dynamic playmakers in the state, turning in a 10.74 100-meter dash earlier this year.
If Texas can secure his services, they will have two of the top 3 wide receivers in the state from the 2022 class. He would join Armani Winfield at the receiver position, who committed to Texas immediately following the hiring of Steve Sarkisian.
