Texas Tech transfer and Longhorn target Micah Peavy announces commitment to TCU

Peavy’s decision comes after Texas landed a pair of transfers

Former Texas Tech forward Micah Peavy announced on Twitter his decision to commit to TCU.

Peavy elected to transfer after just one year in Lubbock, leaving many to believe he would follow former head coach Chris Beard to Austin. Instead, the Duncanville HS product will head to Fort Worth after posting 5.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game in his first collegiate season.

The news of Texas landing former Utah forward Timmy Allen and Kentucky guard Devin Askew plus the return of Jase Febres and Andrew Jones most likely impacted Peavy’s decision to spurn the Horns for the Horned Frogs.

Texas fans still await decisions from Matt Coleman, Jericho Sims, Courtney Ramey, and Greg Brown but in the meantime head coach Chris Bread has been active in the transfer portal.
