Lewis, a former three-star prospect from Melissa, TX, appeared in just two games for the Longhorns after opting out of last season due to COVID-19.
Jeff Howe reported that Lewis was “no longer with the team” last month after not being listed on the Texas football roster for the spring game.
Lewis was suspended “not only from the school but from the university” in March of 2020 according to 247’s Chip Brown but sources told Brown that the wideout was expected to return to Texas for summer school.
Instead, Lewis will join Jeff Traylor’s program in San Antonio.
