Tuesday marked the announcement of game time and television information for the matchup between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, as well as the television carrier for Cotton Bowl matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners.
On Sept. 11, the Longhorns travel to Fayetteville for a 6 p.m. Central kickoff against the Razorbacks on ESPN. The AT&T Red River Showdown on Oct. 9 isn’t officially the typical 11 a.m. Central kickoff (yet), but it will air on either ABC or ESPN.
The 2021 season marks the first for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff after a 7-3 record, including a blowout win over Colorado in the Alamo Bowl, marked the end of Tom Herman’s four-year tenure on the Forty Acres.
The season opens at home with a tough matchup against the surging Louisiana program on Sept. 4 and also features Texas hosting Rice for the third non-conference game before starting Big 12 play against Texas Tech.
