The Austin American-Statesman reports that the Texas Longhorns women’s tennis team clinched a national championship over the weekend after beating Pepperdine.

From the Statesman: “Second-ranked Texas won the match 4-3 to clinch the program’s third national title. The Horns also won it all in 1993 and 1995. But this one could be the start of a monster run for a women’s program that’s now on equal footing with a men’s team that hoisted the trophy in 2019 and reached the national semifinals this year, too.”

Now, let’s keep that tower lit in the future.
