Although the remaining eight Big 12 Conference programs have yet to admit it, it is likely one or more of them end up as the odd man out during the Power Five realignment.
In particular, given their recent struggles in the Big 12, that might mean the Kansas State Wildcats land in the Mountain West Conference once the dust settles in the coming years.
Could that be a good thing for Kansas State? Is it better for the Group of Five?
Kansas State AD Gene Taylor said Monday that the school is "eager to collaborate" with the Big 12's remaining members. Elsewhere, the Mountain West is identifying "potential opportunities" to expand. https://t.co/ZlbySpXi70 via @MERCnewsroom
