Heading into the first game week of the 2021 season, new Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian released the 2021 depth chart - which included confirmation that Hudson Card is officially QB1 for the Texas Longhorns. The highly-touted commit out of Lake Travis High School takes the reins of a talented, but untested offensive unit into the new season. What do we hope to see from the young signal-caller and how do we think he meshes with the other talent on the offense?
Defensively, Texas returns a lot of experience in pockets with a very high ceiling. Anchored by a stout defensive line and a secondary that could be special if all of the pieces live up to their highly-recruited billing. Pete Kwiatkowski spent the attacked the transfer portal along the egest to supplement the talented group left behind by the previous coaching staff. Is it enough to be competitive in the Big 12?
