Every year from 1932 to 1991, the No. 15 Texas Longhorns and the Arkansas Razorbacks squared off in the Southwest Conference. When the Razorbacks left for the Southeast Conference, the old rivals didn't play for nearly a decade and have played just five times since.

With Texas heading to the SEC in the not-too-distant future, they look to get a head start on the renewed hostilities.

The Longhorns put together an impressive outing against the Ragin’ Cajuns a week ago, which hopefully signals a shift in mindset from the previous regime. Arkansas fell behind Rice early, but capitalized on turnovers by the Owls to build momentum late and put the game away.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with Hudson Card coming into his first real experience playing QB at Texas, but I was more than impressed with how poised and efficient he was, plus his arm talent is apparent, so I’m fairly confident in him going forward. The OL performance was concerning with how few running lanes the running backs had beyond the outside zones, so Kyle Flood has his hands full for the immediate future.

The biggest storyline I am looking for is from the offense. Through the 2020 season and into last week, the offense has taken its time getting settled and moving the ball. How efficient can they be in the first half, and can they keep that momentum going for all four quarters?
