The Texas Longhorns kicked off the Steve Sarkisian era with a convincing win over the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns 38-18 in a game that felt more in control than a 20-point margin.
Now, they renew hostilities with their long-time Southwest Conference rival - the Arkansas Razorbacks, who are coming off of a lopsided win of their own. After falling behind to the Rice Owls, the Razorbacks’ defense propelled them to a late-game scoring flurry to pull away. Arkansas will be without star linebacker Bumper Pool, who was ejected for targeting late in the win over the Owls after amassing a team-high 14 tackles.
Texas relied on its offensive playmakers to get ahead of the Ragin’ Cajuns, giving star running back Bijan Robinson a career-high 24 touches, while former five star wide receiver Jordan Whittington finished with a career-high 113 receiving yards.
Sarkisian addresses the media for his weekly press conference ahead of the heated rivalry matchup.
