The No. 7 Texas Longhorns have one last hurdle to clear in their last year in the Big 12, a championship matchup in Arlington against the Oklahoma State Cowboys for the title.
Oklahoma State, and head coach Mike Gundy, have been a thorn in the side of Texas for a long time, winning seven of the last 10 including back-to-back comeback wins over the Longhorns. Texas has made it their mission this year to get a measure of revenge on the way out of the conference, and the Pokes are the last name on the list for Texas and it couldn’t come on a bigger stage.
OSU brings the top running back in the conference, Ollie Gordon, who is a likely Doak Walker winner and the pulse of their offense each and every week. In the Cowboys’ comeback win over BYU to make their way to Arlington, Gordon scored all five touchdowns and put the Pokes over the top.
