The Texas Longhorns appealed a targeting penalty safety Derek Williams received last week, after the true freshman was ejected from Saturday’s Big 12 Championship game versus Oklahoma State. But as 247Sports reports, the Longhorns; appeal for Williams’ reinstatement for the entirety of their College Football Playoff matchup versus Washington was denied. Williams will have to sit out the first half of the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.
