The Texas Longhorns have a new target in the 2024 recruiting class after offering Magnolia athlete Hunter Andrews on Wednesday.

The Longhorns are recruiting Andrews as a tight end or linebacker and could get him on campus for a visit next weekend.

The 6’2, 215-pounder currently holds 26 offers, including Cal, Houston, Nebraska, Northwestern, Stanford, and Texas A&M and has been pledge to Utah since the summer, committing following an official visit to Salt Lake City in June.

Ranked as a consensus three-star prospect, Andrews is the No. 820 player nationally and the No. 76 athlete, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

As a running back at Magnolia, Andrews is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, showing good feet and the burst to create explosive plays. Last season, Andrews ran for 921 yards on 141 carries with 10 touchdowns while adding 12 catches for 87 yards. In track, Andrews ran an 11.09 100-meters during the spring.
