Just as soon as Texas Longhorns fans figured quarterback Quinn Ewers was destined to return in 2024 after an up-and-down performance throughout this season, the redshirt sophomore turns around and has a record-setting passing day in the Big 12 Championship.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian recognized as much, in terms of Ewers’ performance, while addressing media earlier this week.
“I thought Quinn was lights out today,” Sarkisian said, according to Inside Texas. “And the biggest thing today was when the first read was there, he was throwing the ball really accurately and guys were making plays. But I thought the thing that showed up today was him getting to secondary reads and getting through progressions and still throwing the ball really accurately and giving guys chances to make plays.”
