Whether you're a Longhorns football fan, a bored UT student, or just a board game enthusiast with burnt orange sympathies, CFB Risk is for you. It takes less than 5 minutes a day, and today's turn might be the most important one of the game, since we are down to one territory and at risk of the Aggies eliminating us...
What is College Football Risk? It is a completely free Reddit-wide competitive game based on the board game Risk using a map of US Colleges, where each player is equal to one soldier on the map. 1 player = 1 vote, and you can choose to attack or defend one territory per day for your favorite team (that's Texas for everyone reading this!). The more players attack/defend a territory, the more likely your team is to win it. And the more days you play, the more your attack power increases. The game was featured in an article here on Burnt Orange Nation a few years ago.
How you can join: Joining us in CFB Risk is pretty simple. You can make a move on the game site (you'll have to use a Reddit account with a verified e-mail): https://collegefootballrisk.com/
You can find our community over at https://reddit.com/r/CollegeFootballRisk or the UT specific subreddit for our Risk team at https://reddit.com/r/UT_CFB_Command_Center (you'll have to request access since we're trying to prevent Aggie spies from stealing our strategy). You can also sign up for move strategy reminders on the Texas team's Discord server.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me or one of our mods on the subreddit or discord. Have fun, enjoy the memes and banter, and Hook 'em Horns!
