Head coach David Pierce and Texas Longhorns baseball continued their strong surge in recruiting by adding Lake Travis right-handed-pitcher/outfielder Pierce George to their 2022 class.
I would like to announce that I will be furthering my academic and baseball career at the University of Texas. I would like to thank God and my whole family for pushing me every day and giving me the ability to play the game. pic.twitter.com/p7gcz44HmD

George, who also plays wide receiver for the Lake Travis football team, is listed at 6’6 and 205 pounds, according to his twitter bio.
Here’s what Texas Prep Baseball Report has to say about the newest Longhorn commitment:
“George is a big, athletic right-handed pitcher that flashed ability to throw strikes with his fastball. He was 84-88 mph in his one inning of work with a slider that was 71-74 mph, flashing sharp action. He’s an arm to watch develop over the next year plus.”
George is the sixth commitment of the 2022 Texas class.
