Horns Hosted Elite In-State 2017 Guard Tuesday

Will an offer come in the near future for the state's No. 3 prospect in the 2017 class?

What a day for Shaka Smart and the Texas Longhorns! On the same day four-star 2016 point guard Jacob Young committed to the Horns, Smart was busy hosting yet another elite in-state floor general. 2017 Cinco Ranch (TX) point guard Jay Jay Chandler was on campus Tuesday for a visit to a potential college landing spot only hours from the Houston area guard’s hometown of Katy.

Despite the visit, Chandler doesn’t currently hold on offer from the Longhorns, but that’s quite likely going to change in the near future as national interest continues to grow over the explosive guard.

Chandler ranks as the nation’s No. 50 overall recruit and No. 3 in the state of Texas for 2017. He currently holds offers from Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Houston, Creighton and Tulsa.
