The Texas Longhorns continue to improve under the leadership of Shaka Smart, appearing in the Top 25 for the first time this week.
The 'Horns (16-8) came up just short Monday night against the No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners, falling 63-60 in Norman. On Tuesday, Smart addressed the media about the game and the rest of the season. He was understandably disappointed about the loss.
"I think moral victories are more of a media thing, to be honest with you," he said. "If your focus is on growth, then every game should be a victory."
Smart also said the 'Horns were one play away from a victory but didn't make enough stops defensively to come away with a win.
The next game for Texas is Saturday at Iowa State.
