Texas Longhorns G Javan Felix: "This is my dream school"

Senior guard provides leadership to 'Horns basketball team.

Senior guard Javan Felix is a proven leader for a Texas Longhorns basketball team gearing up for the NCAA Tournament.

Watch as teammates and coaches talk about his leadership skills on and off the court, and as Felix himself discusses his time at Texas.

"Javan has been a great teammate," said senior forward Connor Lammert. "He's always the guy you look to. He puts pressure on himself being the rock of the team, being the superstar. You can count him to make free throws and be the rock. That's how he is off the court too."

The 5-11, 195-pound Felix hails from New Orleans and is averaging 10.6 points and 2.2 assists per game this year.

"It's meant a whole lot to me to be a Longhorn," Felix said. "This is my dream school."

Felix's leadership will be needed as the six-seed 'Horns take on 11 seed Northern Iowa Panthers tonight at 8:50 p.m. CT.
