Although it's the offseason, Texas Longhorns head coach Shaka Smart will be the head coach of the 2016 USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team Shaka Smart and will a chance to coach a host of top prospects, as the USA Men's U18 training camp roster was released on Wednesday.

This roster, as listed below, included Longhorns commit James Banks, heavy Longhorn-lean Jarrett Allen, and a slew of targets with recruitments headlined by Texas, including Oak Hill Academy's Matt Coleman, Windermere Prep's David Nickelberry and Findlay Prep's P.J. Washington, so it's possible Smart will be coaching five potential Longhorns. And that time spent working with Smart could prove invaluable to recruiting efforts moving forward, especially with Allen if he doesn't make a decision by that time.

If there were ever an opportunity to impress some of the nation's elite talents presented on a silver platter, it's the one Smart has at hand as the head coach.
