Former Texas Longhorns point guard Isaiah Taylor's path to where he's at today, less than a week away from potentially hearing his name called in Thursday night's NBA Draft, has seen a reoccurring theme. Call it what you want: Underrated, slept on, overlooked or anything related, but it's something Taylor's had to deal with dating back to his high school days in California and ultimately, The Village School in Houston.
Drafting Isaiah: "Fortunately, I got Texas" from mo elrod on Vimeo.
If things go as expected Thursday night, Taylor's name won't be one of the 60 called, but that just means he'll have to continue proving himself, as he's always had to do. In all likelihood, should Taylor not be drafted, he'll almost surely end up on an NBA Summer League roster. From that point, it's up to Taylor to prove why so many at Texas loves the flashy playmaker during his three seasons in Austin.
