An already shorthanded Texas Longhorns squad will now be without another key piece for the foreseeable future.
Just minutes ahead of the Longhorns Wednesday night meeting with No. 16 TCU, the school announced that junior guard Kerwin Roach II is out with a fractured left hand, and there is no timetable for his return, according to the school.
The hits keep coming for Texas basketball. Kerwin Roach Jr. will not play tonight vs. TCU. Has a fractured left hand. Unclear how long he'll be out.

In 31.4 minutes per game this season, Roach is averaging 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists, and more notably, the Houston native has emerged as an elite perimeter defender for Shaka Smart’s club.
With Roach now sidelined, Texas is without two experienced starters, as the school announced on Wednesday that sophomore guard Andrew Jones has been diagnosed with leukemia and is out indefinitely.
Tip-off between Texas and TCU is set for 8:00 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
