The Longhorn Republic gets ready for National Signing Day

We look at what fans should expect on Wednesday, as well as try and diagnose a split week from Texas basketball.

In this week’s Longhorn Republic, Gerald Goodridge and Kyle Carpenter lament a missed opportunity in Lubbock against the Texas Tech Red Raiders (2:00), but applaud Matt Coleman’s bounce back performance against the Oklahoma Sooners (8:19). They compare the struggles of freshman breakouts Trae Young and Mohamed Bamba, and look ahead a bit to the next meeting of the two teams.

Then, Cody Daniel stops by for a National Signing Day preview (17:13), breaking down what fans should expect and who they should be watching leading up to National Signing Day. Should fans expect the calm of a Mack Brown National Signing Day or the fireworks more closely associated with Charlie Strong’s tenure?

Finally, they look at why Chris Warren III may have gotten an invite to the NFL Combine over Poona Ford (24:43)

As always, the boys honor Big Bertha and Bang the Drum (29:03). Kyle bangs the drum on Dylan Ostekowski making bold hair choices and Gerald reflects on the career of Aaron Williams.
