Texas makes the NCAA Tournament

A rollercoaster season for the Texas Longhorns has reached the final stretch with the team’s selection to the NCAA Tournament.

After winning three of its final five games, with the losses coming on the road against Kansas and against Texas Tech in the Big 12 Tournament, Texas sits at 19-14 on the season and 8-10 in conference play. Although such an effort wasn’t cause for comfort with Selection Sunday finally at hand, the Longhorns did just enough to sneak back into the NCAA Tournament after a one-season absence.

Various projections such as Yahoo! Sports had Texas among the Last Four Byes, while others such as ESPN’s Bracketology places the ‘Horns among the Last Four In. TBS will announce the pairings shortly.
