The 6-foot-5, 180-pound prospect from Elkins High School (Missouri City) named Texas in his final five in August after receiving an offer from the Longhorns in July. Williams is ranked No. 75 in the 2019 class and the No. 7 player in the state of Texas, according to the 247Sports composite. Of his final five schools, Texas leads the pack per his 247Sports Crystal Balls with the Horns owning all four projections.
As he developed his basketball skills, Williams has worked Houston-area coach John Lucas, father of Texas assistant and former Longhorns point guard, Jai Lucas. Williams wishes to sign early but has not yet announced a date for his commitment.
