At the front end of the 2019-20 season, the Texas Longhorns will be among four teams featured in the Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project at Madison Square Garden, the school announced on Monday.

Duke, Georgetown, and California will join the Longhorns in the 24th annual Empire Classic, which is set to get underway on Nov. 21-22.

Prior to the event’s Championship Rounds, each of the four participants will host a pair of regional-round games on their home campus. The complete tournament field is yet to be announced.

2019 will mark Texas’ sixth appearance in the Empire Classic, which was formerly known as the 2K Classic. The Longhorns participated in the tournament in 1997, 2002, 2006, 2010, and most recently in 2014, taking home the tournament title in 2006 and 2014.
