Texas outlasts Xavier in OT, 78-76, to advance to NIT quarterfinals

In a thrilling Sunday afternoon NIT contest that came down to the final shot, the No. 2 Texas Longhorns outlasted the No. 3 Xavier Musketeers in overtime, 78-76, to advance to the NIT quarterfinals on Wednesday.

The Longhorns will meet with winner of Monday night’s matchup between Colorado and Norfolk State.
