The Longhorn Republic makes an NIT run

The Texas Longhorns are putting together a bit of a run in the NIT, while the baseball team struggled in back-to-back series.

The Texas Longhorns’ basketball team is finally finding some success on the hardwood, The Longhorns pulled out wins over South Dakota State and Xavier, thanks in-part to the successes of Dylan Osetkowski and Courtney Ramey. Now Texas hosts yet another tournament game this weekend. (3:39)

The Longhorns’ got solid performances from their starters, but struggled in relief dropping their weekend series against the TCU Horned Frogs 1-2. Big 12 pitcher of the week Eric Kennedy and player of the week Bryce Elder turned in impressive outings, but a few late-game let downs dropped Texas to 5-6 on the road. (11:26)

As Texas’ spring practice continues to move forward, the running back room looks a bit different than expected.
