For the fifth time in program history, the Texas Longhorns are headed to Hawaii to take part in the 2020 Maui Jim Maui Invitational, per the tournament’s official Twitter account a release from the school.
In addition to Texas, the entire field will include UNLV, Stanford, Providence, North Carolina, Indiana, Davidson, and Alabama.

The tournament is set to take place on Nov. 23-25, 2020 at the Lahaina Civic Center.
“Each year, the Maui Jim Maui Invitational prides itself on bringing the best college basketball talent to the island of Maui,” Tournament Chairman Dave Odom said, per a release from Texas. “2020 is no different, with the Lahaina Civic Center hosting some of the game’s most historic programs of all time.”
The trip to the Maui Invitational will mark the Longhorns’ first appearance in the early-season tournament since 2012.
The Longhorns also appeared in the Maui Invitational in 2008, 2004, and 1993. Throughout its previous four appearances, Texas has amassed a 7-5 record, which includes third-place finishes in 2004 and 2008.
