With a 10-2 record to date, the Texas Longhorns are fresh off of their best non-conference effort of the Shaka Smart era. But that’s now in the past as Texas turns its attention to Big 12 play, with a daunting test awaiting right out of the gates, as the Longhorns will kick off the new year and their conference slate on the road against the No. 6 Baylor Bears.
The Bears enter boasting a 10-1 record, with their lone loss coming in the Armed Forces Classic to the Washington Huskies. Baylor has since tallied nine straight wins, including three victories over ranked competition in No. 17 Villanova, No. 12 Arizona, and No. 18 Butler.
Tip-off between the Longhorns and Bears is set for 7 p.m. CT on ESPN 2.
