The Tulsa World becomes the first mainstream news outlet to acknowledge the rumors, but hasn't been able to confirm whether or not the Sooners' star tight end suffered an injury, and if so, its severity. "OU did not respond to confirmation requests late Wednesday, and had not confirmed anything as of Thursday breakfast-before-school."
Nothing in the press about this, but word in the netherworld is that Jermaine Gresham suffered a knee injury in practice and is out for at least a few weeks, if not the season. If true, it's yet another piece of terrible news out of Oklahoma this week. This is not, it seems, the year of the tight end in the Big 12. Hat Tip: Barking Carnival
A fine piece of work from Randy & friends previewing the Longhorns' 2009-10 hoops schedule. It's not often that a national sports writer has a take on your team worth reading. This is one of them. Go, read. I'll be back later this evening with more Ten Questions.

The Texas Football video introduction for 2009 has surfaced on YouTube. Yes, there are still cartoon cattle stampeding about, but all and all it's a marked improvement over last year's production.
Just two more years to watch the legendary Longhorn on the gridiron, as Ricky announces he's agreed to a one-year extension that will keep him with the Dolphins through 2010, after which he'll retire. As a 32-year old last year Williams played in all 16 games for Miami, handling 160 rushes for 659 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Holly Anderson's take on Wyoming for Dr. Saturday. Why the hell ARE we playing at Wyoming anyway?
According to GoPokes.com, starting middle linebacker Orie Lemon (90 tackles in 2008, second most on the team) is out for the entire 2009 season. This is not the week OSU needed in the run up to Georgia. Can you still get the Dawgs at +6?
