Quincy Russell Makes 22 ($)

41

Quincy Russell and Christian Westerman made for one of the wildest days in recruiting back in April when Russell committed one evening, then de-committed the next, just as the talented offensive lineman decided to end his recruitment earlier than expected. As for Russell, he had decided several months ago that he wanted more time to take visits and make sure of his decision. On Sunday evening, Russell ended his recruitment by choosing the Longhorns, once again. Russell is the 22nd commitment in the class, leaving Malcolm Brown, Aaron Green, Jermauria Rasco, Anthony Wallace, and possibly David Jenkins as the outstanding offers. Austin Seferian-Jenkins is the only other player on the radar likely to receive an offer in 2011.

6:19: Come on Celtics … Avery Bradley … Avery Bradley … Avery Bradley. 6:20: YES! Good value. And by the way, if you're betting on a No. 1 overall high school prospect whose stock dropped a little after one college year, you want it to be for a reason like, "Yeah, he played at Texas for Rick Barnes, OF COURSE his stock dropped!"

Marcus Davis to transfer?

Got this from Bleacher Report so for all I know, this happened a month ago and I just missed it. Apologies if this is the case. Could this mean an offer is in the works for Charles Jackson?

The room, named for Saudi Arabia native and UT graduate Dr. Nasser I. Al-Rashid, is 20,000 square feet and also includes a 70-yard turf straight-away for timing and conditioning. More than half of the people I spoke to for this began their list with Texas.

Just a quick note: Fozzy is interning this summer at the company where I'm working. He's beyond nice and has been very cool about the constant fan adoration here. Anyway, it is pretty excellent running into him in the hall every day. Can't wait to see him on the field in 2 months!

SA Madison v. Steele gets ESPN National Broadcast

Save the date for August 28. SA Madison and Aaron Green will be facing Steele HS and Malcolm Brown. This is a monster week 0 game. Well deserving of a national broadcast.
