In a season that has already seen the traditional Texas Longhorns uniforms undergo some slight changes and add numbers to the helmets to honor the 1963 team, the Longhorns will add gold trim to their burnt orange home uniforms for the Red River Rivalry against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday:

The uniforms are meant to pay homage to the Golden Hat, the trophy associated with the game. Oklahoma will uniforms with similar trim. The agreement with Nike is for two years.
