-- The last depth chart update was highly speculative, but with the exception of the special teams portion of his list (excluding kickoffs), this one should be really close to the post-spring depth chart put together by the coaches after the game.

-- The players who missed all or part of spring with injuries that should allow them to return in the fall for the start of camp were all left on the depth chart, especially the starters along the offensive line, who essentially have positions locked down. At least until the arrival of Desmond Harrison, in the case of Josh Cochran.

-- Cayleb Jones has been left off the depth chart because his future with the team is still up in the air pending advancements in the status of the case against him.

-- The starting nickel back is Quandre Diggs, with Adrian Phillips backing him up. As in the spring game, the expected replacement at cornerback for Diggs is Sheroid Evans. Josh Turner is would probable enter in a dime package, though Duke Thomas would be another option.

-- Cedric Reed was listed as the starter at Buck end, but he's the second-best defensive end on the team, so with Jackson Jeffcoat actually atop the depth chart at that position, Reed has been moved to the starter at strong end.

-- The most fluid position overall is defensive tackle, as the top four players there are essentially interchangeable, with the possible exception of Malcom Brown, who may have emerged as the top defensive tackle on the team this spring.

-- Connor Brewer really is behind Jalen Overstreet, who could end up moving to another position before fall camp starts.
