There were many positives to take from the big Texas Longhorns win over the Baylor Bears on Saturday. One of those was a surprising stat involving running back D’Onta Foreman.
The 250-yard performance on Saturday put Foreman over the 1,000-yard mark for the season, becoming the first Texas running back to do so in nearly a decade.
Not only that, Foreman’s got four more regular season games and potentially a bowl to pad those stats.
The last ‘Horns back to pass the 1,000 mark was Jamaal Charles, who went on surpass 1,400 yards in the 2007 season en route to an extremely successful NFL career. Hopefully Foreman is setting up to do the same.
