It required less than a half of football against West Virginia for Texas Longhorns running back D’Onta Foreman to surpass the 100-yard mark on the day, putting him in elite company as he’s now tied the school record held by Longhorn legend Earl Campbell for most consecutive 100-yard rushing performances with 11.
The streak dates back to the 2015 season and it’s worth noting that Foreman could have potentially gained control of the record entirely had he not missed the second Texas game of the season against UTEP.
The Heisman Trophy candidate will now be presented with an opportunity to make the record his own with a 12th straight 100-yard performance next week on the road against Kansas.
Foreman rushed for 114 yards on 20 carries in the first half against West Virginia.
