When Tom Herman was introduced as the Texas Longhorns head coach nearly a month ago, he made it a point to note — on numerous occasions — the importance of inclusivity. It’s something he credited to his initial stint as a graduate assistant under Mack Brown and it’s something he’s displaying now that he’s in the seat Brown occupied for so many years.
It appears that inclusivity is trickling over to former players such as former defensive tackle Roy Miller, who is likely just one of many former ‘Horns to receive such a note from the first-year head coach.

“I would also like to take this time to let all of the former players and members of the team association to know the door is always open,” Herman said during his introductory press conference. “They have built Texas football into what it is today, and I want them to know you are always welcome.”
Now Herman is making sure that wasn’t just something nice he said to win the press conference.
