Offensive tackle Kent Perkins has been a standout on the offensive line for the Texas Longhorns for the past two seasons. Now a senior, Perkins is going through his final spring on the 'Horns football team.
In the above TexasSports video, Perkins says everything is clicking right now for the team and the bond is a lot stronger than in past seasons. He also made a few comments about the new system under offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert.
"It's a tough offense, I'm not going to lie to you," Perkins says. "It's really fast. It's the fastest we've gone in the years I've been here. But it's really exciting. Guys are getting the hang of it early."
Perkins, as an older player, added that he has to lead by example to show the younger players what to do. He hopes to become an All-American and "win it all" during his final fall in Austin.
