No. 9 Texas Longhorns vs. Baylor Bears: Game thread

The Longhorns have been an abundance of momentum throughout the past month, and Baylor has the potential to derail that on Saturday.

Much has changed since the Texas Longhorns last stepped foot inside Darrell K Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium. The Horns last home stand came on Sept. 22 against No. 17 TCU and capped the Texas celebrating its first win over the Horned Frogs in five tries.

In the weeks since, Texas has traveled to Manhattan, Kansas, and escaped with a win for the first time since 2002, and most recently, outlasted the No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Showdown, 48-45.

As a result, No. 9 Texas is now ranked within the AP top 10 for the first time since 2010, but maintaining that position won’t come easily.

On Saturday afternoon, Texas will welcome a Baylor team that’s sitting at 4-2 on the season behind a revamped offense abundant with versatile weapons. Can Texas avoid a Red River hangover and keep things rolling on Saturday with a fourth consecutive win over the Bears?

We’ll find out at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
