NCAA Football: Baylor at Texas John Gutierrez-USA TODAY Sports

The Texas Longhorns are coming out of a much-needed bye week monitoring the progress of quarterback Sam Ehlinger. How does Texas stack up against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, whether Ehlinger or backup Shane Buechele is at the helm (3:11).

Gerald and Kyle take a moment to celebrate some well-deserved recognition for Caden Sterns and Kris Boyd, who were both named to the list of semi-finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award (21:29). A big topic of discussion is the status of older players and who will be redshirting. We break down the difference in playing time between older players and younger players and what that means for guys like Toneil Carter or Kyle Porter (27:45).

Looking to the future, Texas picked up a commitment from four-star athlete Peyton Powell, as Texas picks up more momentum in the recruiting class (37:39). Then they take a moment to look at the sports that don’t normally get coverage and ensure those atheltes are getting the respect they deserve (43:33).

Finally, they close the show out with Bang the Drum (50:05), in which Kyle once again trolls the Aggies and Gerald puts on his tinfoil hat about Rondale Moore.
