Yet another home-and-home series with a marquee opponent is now on tap for the Texas Longhorns.
On Monday, the school announced that Texas has will meet the Georgia Bulldogs for a home-and-home series, with the Horns hosting the front end of the series on Sept. 2, 2028 before traveling to Athens the following year on Sept. 1, 2029.
Texas and Georgia have met only four times throughout their stories histories, with the Longhorns owning a 3-1 advantage over the Bulldogs. Georgia did, however, win the most recent meeting in 1984 with a 10-9 victory over Fred Akers’ Longhorns.
Texas is now scheduled for a marquee non-conference matchup each season through the 2029 campaign, with home-and-home series coming against LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, and now Georgia.
