The Longhorn Republic is optimistic about the NCAA Tournament

This week they look at where Texas shakes out in the NCAA Tournament, and how a big week in recruiting moves the program forward.

In this week’s Longhorn Republic, Kyle is back from Las Vegas so they get back to work talking Texas Longhorns sports.

They open up talking about all things NCAA baseketball, both men’s and women’s. The men’s team managed to get into the field and will open the tournament againstthe Nevada Wolfpack in the second round (1:37).

Then they welcome back Wescott Eberts to talk all-things recruiting after a big weekend. Texas kicked it off receiving a big committment from Jordan Whittington (9:11), while hosting five-star offensive tackle Kenyon Green (14:32). They break down what the committment of graduate transfer Calvin Anderson (16:06), and what Bryan Carrington’s new role means for the program (20:00).

As always, the boys honor Big Bertha and Bang the Drum (28:41). Wescott wishes Texas fans would give Shaka Smart some much-deserved credit, and Gerald shares his fears heading into Spring Practice.
