The Longhorn Republic is giddy about Spring Practice

Gerald Goodridge and Kyle Carpenter look at what it’s going to take for Texas to improve at wide receiver and tight end.

In this week’s Longhorn Republic, Gerald Goodridge and Kyle celebrate the first week of spring practice by breaking down who they think will be the starters at wide receiver and tight end (2:00), before looking at a potential home-and-home with the Alabama Crimson Tide (15:49).

Then they move onto a successful season from the women’s basketball team (18:09), and try to figure out what the Jacob Young transfer means to the Texas basketball program moving foward (22:48). Kyle breaks down the pitching that led to a big week from Texas baseball (32:38), before he and Gerald celebrate lighting the tower orange for a swimming and diving National Championship (32:38).

As always, they close the show honoring Big Bertha and they Bang the Drum (34:40). Kyle celebrates Bryan Carrington’s Twitter presence, while Gerald is confused as to why Vince Young was labelled a bust.
